When I met Hira Shah back in 2008, I instantly knew she had it in her: the height, the attitude, the beautiful golden skin and the ambition were all perfect for a modeling career. But then, she vanished.

A couple of years later, she reconnected with me on Facebook and I was impressed to see the body of work she had been doing all over Europe. Her go-getter attitude has taken her places and she now not only wears a model cap but has gotten herself a degree in fashion design and also freelances as a stylist. And now that she wants to come and get a taste of the Pakistani fashion industry, who better to introduce her as a cover girl than us! Read everything about this stunner on page 40.

With all these fashion weeks, our fashion industry might be booming and at every one of these events, a brigade of new designers and models are introduced; but then, there are those who have been around for years and never fail to impress. Three of my favorite such fashion geniuses are featured in this edition. Sonya Battla's beautiful lazy silhouettes and minimalistic capsule that comprises of lehnga skirts, Kaftan dresses and tie-n-dye tunics is featured on page 30.

Our UK correspondent Saad Zuberi hangs out and chats with Faiza Samee in London, a city that's not only her second home but also a place where she successfully shows collections to an appreciative sub-continental audience. On page 25, Faiza Samee candidly explains her love affair with London and her time spent there with family.

Lastly, on page 46, Zurain Imam speaks to Lahore based couturier Nilofer Shahid who shares her feelings about the high point and proud moment in her design career when she was recently conferred with the title of ‘Grande Chevalier’ by the French government in recognition for her contribution to the Development of Art, Culture & Fashion Design.

The world of fashion is becoming more and more accessible and now fashion related news comes out faster than any other news in the world. For someone who believes fashion is art also now knows, more than ever before, that luxury plays an important part in fashion. We feel it’s time to take the magazine to a new level. That’s why, the content you all love and have supported is being re-imagined and you will now see a newer, luxe version of your beloved Xpozé in January 2015. See you soon!
